I think that was one of the most needed updates this mod and its team could give. I have had the immense joy and pleasure to play this mod since about the time it was released on MODDB and I can only marvel at the skill and work that you guys as a team have put into this.
It´s not the acctual mod that amazes me the most but the fact that you have taken your own free time, without getting a single payment from the work you´re doing, to bring random strangers around the world a totally new and uniquelly wonderful mod to a wonderful game, making it as bright and beautiful as the most eloquent of Tolkiens poems. I feel nothing but joy and neverending gratitude for all that you have done, and you shall all know that I will always be grateful for your work, even when you decide that your modding days are over.

I can very well understand your need for selftime and free time away from modding and more focused on other things in life. It is the same with me playing this mod, when I was in school I could go home, do some quick homework and then just blow my brain out on this amazing mod, trying new strategies, maps, hero comps. And I still couldn´t get enough. It was blissful. With time my studies took more time and I had to skip Edain to write on my papers, and finally papers turned into payments and workinghours. I got more areas of responsibility and had to devote more and more time away from playing Edain. Adult life can be a bitch but one thing that you should get from it is some sort of patience.

It´s really easy for all the school/not-really-working kids to sit at home and just wait for Edain to finish their mod so you can blow some more awsome hours on an awsome mod but please, try and be patient and have a little bit of faith. Try and be empathic and see the mod from the modders perspective.
Finally to the team: You will always be amazing persons in my eyes. People that have devoted so much time and energy to give not just myself but so many other peoples around the world the amazing experience of playing Edain. With this I can only finish with one quote. "My friends, you bow to no one"

I truly love the way you have implimented the fellowship in the ring-mechanic :-D!

I am truly happy to see what you are doing with Tolkiens sourcematerial. The factions and lore tits and bits are all wonderful and it is a joy to play your mod :-D !

At first I was skeptical to this female hunter, but now I feel only joy and interest in the unique playstyle and oppertunities that she will provide to the kingdom of frost and iron.

Wonderful update! Narin seems like a interesting "messanger hero" especially for the Iron Hills.

Wonderful update! And as the work goes on I feel like there´s so much depth in the game, the surface is only scrathed. Again, Edain team you are doing a wonderful work and make so many people happy!

Not to be like that, but still, there is a drop of truth in what srkisha is saying. For us who maybe not are so learned in the arts of modding it feels a bit weird that we have seen a lot of pics and vids with all the factions and their concepts for a long time, and that the only thing left should be the gameplay that we are waiting for.
I myself find the demo amazing in almost everything and can play with these factions for a long long time, exploring different strategies and tactics. But still, ones own favorite faction is maybe not amongst thoose realesed and with rereadeing all the updates and faction news on the site, it creates a bit of frustration and a feeling of: see but not touch.

Simply amazing.... Thank you!

First thank you for the liking, second: Please write any questions about the dwarves in the forum, either a new one if you wanna discuss a certain topic or in the "Folk f Durin" I am usually there to help, and to to advise with some more in-depth thinking about the dwarven faction as a whole :-)

Although Dains bigass hammer in the movie is a rather good representation of the strength of the dwarves. For thoose who are not so learned in the races of Tolkiens universe, it is a good way of saying: "Dwarves are extremely sturdy and stronger than they appear, and clearly stronger than the average man"

Another good representation of this was the scene when the dwarves are rebuilding the gate or rather building the wall that blocks it. You can see Dwalin lifting huge stoneblocks with his bare hands.

I totally agree with you hoho96, the red axe is something significant for Dain Ironfoot II (so we do not mistake him with Dain I who was king in the grey mountains 2585-2589 TA.) :-)

But I do not claim the title of expert, that is up to the founders to decide :-)

Okay so I have "started" the dwarf discussion group under the picture: The folk of Durin, I thought this would be a good way of guiding people to the right discussion-group through pics of the different subjects :-)

That is true. A lot of sites usually just give one explenation of a character or event but Tolkiengateway is good in that way that it mentions different thoughts about things, ex. the "mystery" of Glorfindel.
Except for the books of the dear profssor and some appendices constructed by his son, the gateway is the one :-)

Still, I also agree to hoho96 that he is not a suitable character to have in Edain mod, if he would be available it would be as some sort of power, but that would´nt make any sense. Elfs are not renown for bringing back dead people although they are good at saving people from death.

Well he was a Noldor elf from the first age, and son to Curufin. Although his life and deeds are rather interesting.
