1.Create a subdirectory named mods in the main program folder (where there are the *.exe).

2.uncompress the archive (mod_fx.exe is a winrar autoextracting archive) there. When the procedure is over.. there will be a folder named mod_fx inside the mods subdirectory.

3.Launch the game. From the main menu select the "mods" option: if you did everything correctly you will find the mod_fx listed there and you can activate it. That's all.

Played in single player for 5-6 hours: this mod has very useful and classy additions (like the xp bar or the automatic "outlining" of chests and items in map mode ); I didn't like the dark color of mana potions and the mana sphere (but I think is a "choice" due to the limited colors of the 8 bit palette) and I HATED the impossibility to exit a level if an enemy attacks you (until you kill it)
I played a level 2 mage (with his weak default spells) which wasn't able to kill (not even HIT!) a special/unique monster, so I had to restart from scratch: quite annoying, and it occured two times ..

The mod, anyway, seems really great and adds very special things to the original game.

(There's no music at all while I play: it's a bug or does it play only with your "Music Expansion" ?)
