Ok after further investigation (and using noclip) there is actually a lot more to this. The weird thing is that there's a credits sequence after the first map, then another title sequence on the second map. It's a spooky atmosphere but i found several things irritating with the game beware that this is probably a few spoilers (but nothing major as i havent got all the way through).

Doors lock themselves sometimes when you go into places and the only way to unlock them is to go into a certain part of the room and set off a scream or a "ghost" appearance. And this guy keeps getting in touch with you, and each time he does you'll come to a locked door that mysteriously opens after he finishes talking (which could make sense if he said something like "let me unlock that door for you" but never does).

The big clincher though was the female hospital announcer. Which i assumed was supposed to come out of tannoy/p.a. speakers somewhere above. However whoever did the sound for those neglected to put filters on them so it sounds like a high quality recording being played over the players headphones. Also the tone of the actual speech there was *too* happy. Real life announcers, even recorded ones. Are never that happy.

Although quite an interesting situation a lot of the "scary" moments i have to say i saw coming. Maybe i've played too many games like this but sometimes it just felt really cliched. Didn't finish it though. Also, apologies for being a troll by disagreeing with everyone that found this great. However i'll give this a 6 now based on what i played.

Only rating as 1 as 0 not available. There are blocked walls all over the map to the point that i have no choice but to move to the house, which would be fine if it wasn't clear space blocking me at all times.

Also for one map the download size is rather big, and the game isn't scary. Is a second map coming or is the aim of the game just to land in the basement and get stuck there?
