I don't have much experience running it in Desura as my Desura client is... well... broken. But I download the standalone installers to get the most recent versions. But those are more buggy. The version you have is the latest STABLE build. This means it has less bugs and smoother gameplay.

I'd suggest downloading one of the "Alpha Unstable" downloads under "Purchased Downloads" to the right of this window, or go to www.projectzomboid.com to download their latest build. The standalone installers work exactly the same, except when you first login, it will ask you to login. Just type (copy and paste) your Desura Key. Happy playing:)

you are an idiot. All you have to do to save is hit alt F4. or you can sleep. Have you even played the game? and desura gives the most recent build which is full of more bugs. You can download more stable versions from their site, which you can access by copying and pasting your desura key on login. Rouge. Just stop talking. You have no idea what you are talking about, and I'm beginning to doubt if you have even touched this game, much less played it enough for a half decent review.

Battlefront 3 has already been thrown out the window, the company that made Operation Raccoon City was gunna make it but changed their mind and scrapped it ,KOTOR ended with 2. another sequel wouldn't make sense

My understanding is that the reason they aren't releasing info about the next build is because someone released a copy of an older build back before it should have been released, so now they are waiting to release completely stable builds without game breaking bugs to prevent issues among players.
