Also, anyone knows what do I need to use for Hermann's missions? I bought the SSP Ecologist suit which has a nice psy protection, but he still says that I'll meet a swift death with my equipment.

I replayed CoP entirely with the mod, and it certainly adds to the stalker experience with a wide variety of weapons, improved AI, improved graphics and whatnot but there are a few things bugging me which will hopefully be tweaked in the future.
-The mosin-nagant doesn't have a scope. I was happy to at least see it in the mod, but the sniper capabilities are greatly reduced without a scope.
-The fog that sometimes appears after quickloads and sleeping is too thick. I can't see 10 feet in front of me with it, and it's just plain annoying.
-The new AI is amazing, but sometimes central NPCs rush into danger and if I'm not there to protect them, they will likely be overwhelmed by the mutants; in vanilla CoP for example, the biologist lab guards would do nothing when mutants attacked, and while it was annoying to deal with them by myself it was still better than having them wiped out. That way, some missions can break and make it impossible to do them at my own pace.
But other than that, this mod is really great and I'm really looking forward to 1.9/2.0, although repairing costs can be a bit too high at the start. 9k to repair a 50% AUG was too much.
