It's in the GAME menu, kinda confusing the way it works cause the label toggles as well (it may say display actor shadow) but that's the proper button, you want it unlit. Once you set it, look down while in the game. If you see your legs, go back and reverse the setting. Once you dont see you legs your footsteps should come back and you'll avoid certain 'foot bone' crashes (but not all of them, sadly).
