Look if your going to keep saying this is dead then don't follow the mod. I have 3 jobs, a girlfriend and I'm working on this alone. If you don't want to wait for it thats cool but don't keep saying this is dead because if it was, I'd officially announce it - not just leave the mod. Please take that into consideration.

Its not dead, sorry if progress is slow.. its hard working pretty much alone and trying to get people to help.

I'm looking to expand the team, on my official Blog page I posted about getting more people involved because the reality of it is I cant do everything I want to the MOD on my own :/

Hope to get a few more people working with me to make progress faster and be more ambitious with what i want to achieve with the MOD.

Really good post, good points. The certain route this mod will take now is that you wont be having guns every 10 seconds. This is what i wanted to do initially.. This being said - you may run into a few soldiers that have died where you can use their guns but this is only going to be temporary.. you may have a clip and that's it - no ammo boxes just bare minimum bullets. Guns will not be a big part of the game it will be more about using your surroundings to your advantage. Using tons of weapons with bullets reduces the fear that is generated by parasites and monsters.. If you can shoot them and kill them the fear and feel is gone all together. Its about getting that fine balance that works well and can be enjoyed by all.

Keep the ideas coming guys, working with a minimal team results in pretty bias opinions but with community input I can get something final that we can all enjoy playing,

well :P.. I'm still looking for story suggestions as I was saying in my last post. Need to get a story and general direction as I keep scrapping ideas. The main progression I have down but the story I'm not too sure on yet..

Yeah the way things are going I don't think were gonna make the characters playable.. A character that isn't in the movie maybe but that idea hasn't been finalised yet.

Thats concept that one picture of the building with the trashed cars.. i updated the news above the video about an hour ago actually to let people know and updated the box next to the video! :) its basically what I'm aiming for and im getting pretty close to it at the moment :P - Just wanted to show people what parts in that area will be playable. I updated my youtube video so that an annotation comes up and says concept on that picture but cant do it on this one. Everything is in game apart from that still image at 0.24 :D

Yeah it is mine, its old work though so I didn't know if to post it or not. I want to show the latest stuff really, the old video was using the old engine and looked really shabby really that's why I completely re-did that section so it could look a lot better and have a better feeling to it.

Then again cloverfield itself has copyright so you could say the same about that I guess and every other mod from any franchise, as long as there is no profit made then I think i should be fine

lol! I liked the movie, loved it in fact! my sister and my parents hated it though so each to their own - regardless of whether you liked the movie I hope you enjoy the mod when its finished :P
