thank you for steps, but i am still running into the problem of crashing when i load the game do you got any ideas if it possible to install the chines version, then copy out the main files and then install the English version and over write with the chines but keep the English text ?

how did u get the English version working i am try to find a way......
Simple, when you installed it you did not install it in the right place, happen to me too. What happens is that the mod creates the name homeworld2, so in other word when i put them mod in homeworld2 folder i selected homeworld2 folder, but what happen was then it create a other homeworld2 folder inside the homeworld2 folder.
Basically it looked like this
C:/Games/Homeworld2/Homeworld2/Data
but what it has to look like is C:/Games/Homeworld2/Data
So in other world you just need to selected the "games" folder and press install and the homeworld2 will be add automatic to it and then that should work.

then once the page loads you going to see 4 different colours
Green, Blue, Red and White. When u Look at the white colour one you will see a little arrow pointing to right, click it. After that there should be now 3 more link showing, click the far right one because it the fast one. I am Not sure if it a English Version or not i am Downloading right now.

easy as one two open "hw2bsg-0.1.8-data" then open "date" then copy all the files from there in to "Homeworld2" then open "Data" then past all the files there then u go to the shortcut and go right click on the "Homeworld2" shortcut then go "Properties" find where it says "target" and add { -overrideBigFile -nomovies -luatrace in the "start in" } with out the " { } " that should make the game work for all you :) have great day and thank for playing :)
