I am an Artist who is unbound by trade or skill.
We are considering pushing for a more open world game.
We had to rush this prototype environment for the teaser. It's not a final version.
Cool video, thank you for your support!
Thank you for the link, we are looking into it further.
Yes we can, and we are planning on doing so.
Well, you are entitled to your own opinions, but we are working hard on at least fleshing out the game play mechanics, rather than designing levels endlessly with no purpose. Regardless, nothing is set in stone at this point, and you can expect things to somewhat deviate down the line. However, once we have more content, and working samples, you might change your mind, for I'm merely paraphrasing some large scale ideas.
Thats a very good question! Raindrop will no longer be a mindless shooter in where you quickly run through linear levels. Instead, the gameplay will consist mainly of survival, action-adventure aspects, and some minor combat elements. It will be similar to Penumbra, Resident Evil, and Myst, but the player will be a lot more creative when solving puzzles and taking down enemies.
Yes, that is roughly what happened. A previous team member attempted to port the mod to various engines, while posting media without approval.
However, that is no longer an issue. The current developers of the game are the original core members from the mod.
Yes, both Nihad and I are working on Raindrop collectively.
This would be the second and last time.
We've ceased development for the Source Engine, not Unity3D.
The post you are commenting on is outdated and unrelated to our new indie game. Check out our new profile at Indiedb.com
No, we are using Unity3D now.

Soon! We promise!
I agree with Nailivic, I poured my heart and soul into this mod from the start. In fact, I remember when I didn't even know how to model low-polygon assets for the Source Engine, but I learned quickly by following in MasterDonut's footsteps. The project seemed overly ambitions, but thats due to the fact that there was a lack of man power, and soon after that, motivation. If anything, I believe that we should "re-design" Raindrop to be released as a smaller Source mod, being that we still have a good chunk of maps and props completed. In my honest opinion, since I have been playing mods for the past 7 years of my life (and making games for 5 years), I think that the players and followers should be dynamically involved with the development of mods by sharing and inputting ideas, but sometimes Dev's get stubborn, due to their enlarged egos. Either way, I want my work to be public, and not fragment on some hard drive.... And since VagrantPostman plugged his current project, Ya'll should check out Contagion @ indiedb.com/games/contagion
