Yeah so instead of 1FPS loss you get 3FPS loss, because as you pointed out, postprocess AA's have no major impacts on performance. The main difference is, that FXAA is blurry compared to SMAA.

Nowhere, only mods or modified files go to gamedata folder. So if you have a mod, it should have already gamedata folder. The structure is X:\Lost Alpha\gamedata\.
