Question for the devs:

Do you guys think that Relic would allow you to have access to any server side stuff? Like adding stats for the Soviets and Ostheer, proper flags for Soviets and Ostheer in the Replay window, automatch, veterancy points for the Soviets and Ostheer in the after-game score window, etc? We can make do without, but it would be a nice touch.

The mod is separate from the base game. You're good to go man :)

My only real concern at this point is the balance between the EF, OF and vCoH factions; the OF factions vs EF factions being a wider area of concern. I'm very enthused and impressed, nevertheless. The last but perhaps most important part at this point would be the promotion of EF at release/launch. I would so rather play EF regularly like we can in vCoH. Awesome work guys.

I wonder if it's a question of funding, or if it's just plainly a lack of interest in finishing the project? I'd help fund the project if they setup a crowdfunding campaign or asked for some donations.

Oh, ok. This version (2.3.0) is obsolete for all intents and purposes. The Devs are working on 2.3.1 now, which is a closed beta. Many of the problems with this old version are fixed in the new one now.

I'm not a developer. Which version of EF are you using? Just wondering.

2.700.2.42 is the Steam version. If you have a legit copy of retail CoH, just add your license key on Steam.

I still don't understand the question. Sorry man. The tank hall appears to be functioning up to everyone's expectations, if that's what you mean.

Oh, ok. We've been waiting for the greenlight project for a while now, so who knows when that will be finalized. The devs have lives too, of course :).

I'm not sure if you follow me, but I'll mention this anyway. As far as I know, this public version is obsolete, meaning that there's no active support for it. The newest version that I'm aware of is 2.3.1, which is the beta on Steam. That version is being actively supported and patched regularly, though I'm not sure how often.

So to answer your first question; for 2.3.0, there most likely won't be a patch at the end of the summer, but for 2.3.1, there most likely will be.

And since I'm here, could you clarify your second question? I'm not sure about what you mean. I think I ask on behalf of other people too.

I'm wondering about how much the popularity is going to come back when the green light project is finished. I'm only a newcomer, relatively speaking, but after doing some reading it seems like it has certainly ebbed since the last quarter of last year. There's hardly any activity on the player side; I always have to organize games with people on my friend list, which not easy for varying reasons. I would very much like to see a few thousand people come back/start trying it, because it does truly make the game better. Being able to open up lobbies and just play like in vCoH would just be awesome. I'll help spread the word about it, in any case.
