I think I remember Dukat saying in some video that it was about 60:40 Dominion/Cardassian on average, it's some kind of RNG. Must be a coincidence that you haven't met the Dominion guys.

Is it just me or has the gameplay in CTA become painfully slow when compared to 1.0? o.O

Well...with Mirandas in combat it's kind of a safe bet that it will, indeed, be gone seconds later. All hail Cardassia.
Beautiful shot nonetheless ;)

Dominion Alliance and Cardassian Union are a combined faction. The way it works is you start the game as the Cardassian Union, and then pretty early in the research tree you have to decide whether or not you want to join the Dominion. This will decide the further research and units you get throughout the game. If you do join them, you retain the basic Cardassian units but also get access to advanced Jem'hadar, Breen and Sona units. If you don't join the Dominion, you will have a purely Cardassian faction with elite units of its own (plus Species 8472 support through a call-in ability iirc).

Is 16 the limit when you're playing with large fleet option? If not, turn fleet sizes to large in the match setup options. If yes, you'll probably have to fiddle around in the game files and I don't know which one.

Yes, a fusion cube would be really cool. But imagine having your necessarily scaled down fusion cube floating around next to a regular one and realizing that it's made up of babycubes that don't exist anywhere else. :-/

You have to run the game in developer mode, the game comes with a "normal" and a developer.exe

I don't know, but I wouldn't put my money on those Mirandas looking at the badass right up front.

Due to general Klingon dibs on space as such, that Miranda was trespassing.

But there's quite a damage drop with increasing distance, right? I actually don't know where I come down on this issue, I have to say I loved blowing it up from a safe distance. But the low distance damage increase is awesome as well.

Bajorans just need a high five. With a plasma torpedo. To the face.

Was that pun of a pun intended or was that a typo? Also Max, it was a question so it was not supposed to be correct in the first place. :P

As someone who also bought Rebellion for this mod alone, I can relate :D That sucks. One thing you could try is to disable UAC for your v1.82 mods folder. Easiest way is to right-click the folder, go to properties -> security tab -> edit, and then give the account you're using full access rights BEFORE activating the mod by editing the enabled mods.txt. After editing the enabled mods.txt, put write protection on it so Windows can't change it back. That's the best I can come up with right now, I hope it helps.

Well...that may be so, but the image description says it's the real thing, not a design derived from that. The Promellians and their enemies wiped each other out during our 14th Century, so it couldn't really be an active ship in the game. And even if someone would reactivate it, it would be entirely obsolete because in the 1.000 years that have passed technology advanced quite a bit, soooo...dammit tell us what that thing does in the game!

You guys are so awesome for actually putting this in the game. It shouldn't be an active ship though, right? I seem to recall that the Promellians were destroyed a long time before most of the other races took to the stars, so their battlecruiser should be kind of like a relic, artifact or something?

I somehow suspect we'll need an awful lot of Hidekis for serious Pew Pew. By the way, where does that name come from? It doesn't sound Cardassian by any stretch of the imagination and it's actually a Japanese first name. Is there any behind the scenes reason, tribute to someone or anything?

Well I just think when people are intent on killing each other, morals and ethics have been pushed out the window anyway. At the point where you are at war with one another, you already failed in that department.
