Having previously played Dissolution and Lunar Descent, both of which are mods of high quality, I had high hopes for this mod.

My expectations were mostly met. The story is, while not the most original, interesting and kept me engaged to the end. Gameplay is good and I really like the inventory system. The defenselessness of the player character is a nice mechanic and one of the things that make this mod stand out.

For a survival horror game, it is not particularily scary, however, and the enemies could use some more variety and improvement. The atmosphere could also use some work to up the horror elements. One of the best parts of this mod is the level design, albeit confusing at times. Occasionally, this makes navigating tricky.

Summarily, this is a qulitative mod and a worthy sequel (or prequel) to the previous mods by this author. While not without flaws, it is well worth playing.

I've wanted to play this mod for quite some time. Now I've just finished it and must say that it's quite a journey. Enjoyable from start to finish.

The mapping is done in a very elaborate and sensible way and the music is suitable. The story is interesting and engaging all the way to the end. The characters are vivid and believable.

I would give this mod a 10/10, but unfortunately I can't for a few reasons. There are a number of bugs present. Objectives aren't always clear and it's confusing at times. It's unbalanced at times (although I don't know if this is intentional or not).

Overall, this is one of the best Half-Life 2 mods out there and well worth to play.

This mod greatly enhances Half-Life 2 while retaining the spirit of the game. It improves several aspects of gameplay as well as animations and visuals, making it look great. I highly recommend this mod if you're a fan of the game.

R e b e l l i o n is quite a fun mod to play. It features a nice twist on the Half-Life universe. The story and scripting are very good.

The reason I'm giving this an 8 though, is that it is confusing at times and you spend a fair amount of time running around trying to figure out what to do.

I also wish that this mod featured some custom models, since the default ones feel somewhat out of place.

Overall, this is a good mod well worth a playthrough.

This is a very interesting mod. It has a great atmosphere that fits the mood of the Half-Life universe and very nice lighting. The environment is quite detailed and the mapping is done in a very elaborate way.

One thing I need to point out though, is that certain maps have a few pitch black areas too many, which might get annoying after a while. Despite this, the level design is very good and credible.

All in all, this is a mod well worth playing and I hope to see more mods by the author.
