I think the author should make a cleanup. The package contains thousands of files, which makes installation process unnecessarily long.

I'm sorry to be late. This mod has not been updated for nearly a year just because the author is busy or lazy. If you have anything to discuss, please go to our Discord channel and leave your comment at #voxpopuli if you encounter any issues.

1. I'm sure that the author will insist on this old version of Ares(you can ask me privately on Discord why he chooses to do so).
2. The author claimed that after C.2 patch, it should be faster. However, during my test, it doesn't seem faster.
3. We don't include original RA2/YR files for avoiding copyright infringement.

I have completed the English translation, as a beta version. However, something prevents me from publishing it here. Don't be sad. I, as a fan, am working on the English translation. The translation is about 60%-70% complete, and since I'm busy with my life, I had been off from this for two months. I promise you that I will release the translation as soon as I finish it. I estimate you'll need to wait for about two months.
I'm not a native speaker, so my translation should not be perfect. But I will do my best to make most of the translation understandable.

I'm asking for everyone's opinion about translation of this game.
The reason why I don't ask for author's permission is that he/she is away from keyboard, and no contacts is available to anybody who possibly holds the source files.
I have played through the game, and I need to say it's a MASTERPIECE. THE author takes SIX years to complete it, with huge revisions or even a remake every year. His dedication and carefulness should be awarded. No enthusiastic player should miss it. There may be some space for improvement, but without worldwide players, this mod will sink into the deep ocean of other mods, which may only release a satisfying version "soon" in the future.
Also, I must say that Chinese players are very enthusiastic and productive. However, their excellent (or not so excellent) mods are not under wide public reviews for language problems, and nobody is willing to translate their mods and promote to players all over the world.
I'm interested in it, from this mod. With the author being disconnected from the Internet (for academic reasons) and abandoning his dear child, I can only translate this mod and provide a locale file without his/her permission. But before I can take action, I need to listen to my fellow players, i.e. you, from all six continents (except Antarctica).

So here are my requests:
Please express your opinion towards my project of translating this mod to English, without the author's permission. I'm sure that he is now offline and possibly not returning in the future. I'm also frustrated that nobody claims that they have the source file in the Chinese community now (and possibly in the future).
You may worry about the project's legality to modify a mod without author's permission. but given the high quality of the mod, and all the hard work behind it, it is a must to let the majority enjoy this mod. Still, if the author or any responsible person considers my project against their interests, I will pull it off and have a public apology.
I'm not claiming the mod as my own work (as usual) except partially for the translated text unique to the mod.
If you agree, I'll release an English translation once it's complete. Any help will be appreciated.
If not, please help me contact the author or any relevant people who have the CSF file of this mod. I will not release this translation until permission is granted.
Or, if you have managed to get the CSF file, please upload this file and notify me, no matter if you agree or not.

If the game does not run properly, try these steps:
Right click YURI.EXE, click tab "Compatibility", run as Administrator.
I forgot if "running in 16 bit colour" is enabled.
If there is no DDRAW.DLL in your game directory, Download one and put it in the root game directory. This is NECESSARY.

Should there be an update or fix of the current 3.0 R1 before the completion of the 4th faction? I really think the team should work more on tuning and fixing the current version before moving ahead.

Why Nod Mission 16 lags so seriously later in the game? I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bit on a i7-3740 computer.
