As lordxenu said, they offer the game as a kickstarter reward plus bonuses if you pay more, how is this any different to a preorder on a game and the extras being like a special edition?

CONSPIRACY!!! Do you notice that most pc games end up on steam??? I'm sure it's nothing to do with it being the largest online retailer of games it must be something much more heinous, on top of that never mind the fact that the phg guys have obviously dipped into THEIR OWN pockets to find the rest of the cost, what money grabbing ******** ... Duh

I love how you all seem to think this is some crazy cash grab, it seems more to me that they are just trying to get as many players as possible how is that a bad thing for the players. If the game turns out to be 10 even 20 bucks seems fair to me, seems that's the price of a ****** meal

I've said it before I'll say it again, nowhere does it say they get nothing, it says they don't get any of the kickstarter ****, they have a history of looking after supporters

This wouldn't be to make money, it would be so it doesn't COST them anymore, they have been making free **** since like 2007 with dystopia, development would be a cash sink without some decent sort of income, besides the source license would be way more expensive than 15000 so I can only assume they are making the push to get more players, more player =better multiplayer experience

I know right its sad as **** that they not only have thale balls to sink their own money into this (because I sure as **** know you can't buy a source license for 15 k) but that they want as many people to be able to fill servers as possible instead of the, lets be honest, tiny by comparison mod community, what ********. If anyone thinks this is a selfish move on their part, they really aren't that bright puny human won't get rich out of this, they might however get a literally invested player base that with the right attention could grow and past over time

They never said we would get nothing explicitly, they said they would get nothing in regards to kickstarter ****, and that seems fair enough, they didn't contribute to it. Read between the lines morons

kesters comment at the time, were an utter troll attempt, there was nothing constructive in them, hence why i think he deleted them either that or he realised what a douche he was gonna come accross as when the dys dev team / black mesa source guys saw what he was up to.

im sure comments like rabidmonkeys are accepted and encouraged by the dev team from what i have seen on their forums, but at the same time, they are busy (working on maps i hope ;) ) and dont have time for useless troll attempts like those presented by kester.

no sarcasm at all from me monkey, it doesnt look that detailed at all, its a few flash textures and even less complexity map wise... im not really waiting for BMS... ive already played half life.

am i the only one who finds it infinatly amusing that both of the people bitching about dystopia are working on have mods they are watching that are ports of old games ?

a lot of balance between teams happens in map development you moron, hence why all the oldskool ctf maps were mirrored, because it garanteed a perfectly level playing field , with an assault style gameplay, its alot harder due to the perfect balance you need to manage, allowing the attacking team an only slight advantage to allow a slow progression through the entirety of the map, while allowing the defensive team the ability to hold them out wtih decent team work. but then again, someone with your mental capacity probably assumes terms like 'higher ground' and 'cover' are just buzz words for the latest washing detergent.

And that whole demo thing really bugs me, game developers release demos, mod teams release betas!

Dystopia releasing a demo is there way of saying, here play this small badly brought together game, and we'll call it a demo to make it sound like there is a lot more we have, but are holding back from you till we properly release.
