My apologies for the late reply! Apparently I was not getting e-mail notifications anymore... Glad someone out there is still playing this ole gal. :)
Hello!
If I remember correctly, there is a multiplayer settings in the sdemons.ini file, where you have app.exe (the 1.6.0.x patch directory), set these:
NetDisableCrewRadius=1
NetUsePenetration=1
NetUseAltExplosiveDamage=1
NetDisplayAllBullets=1
Thanks, yeah I was trying to work with Scroft to get the site back up. Sadly, haven't heard back from him recently! We are hanging out on SimHQ forums for now...
Thank you very much! Your English is quite good, sorry I did not see your comment sooner.
Fort engine acceleration with the keyboard, please try using the - and + keys on the keyboard.
I run it on Win 7, just be sure to not install it into Program Files and to launch App.exe and not sdemons.exe
Howdy! One of my favorite sims of all time. Glad to hear you have many fond memories of it! Sadly I never did get into game design or production but it's where I saw myself. Currently in the IT field as a Sys Admin.
Sorry I haven't seen this sooner... The command should be Shift F8.
Thanks!
For some reason I do not see the following up top:
[Paths]
Media=C:\Program Files\Fighter Squadron\Media
CDMedia=D:\setup\sdoe\Media
Put that above the [Prefs] section and change the Media= to be where you have the Media folder located on your system.
Can you send me your sdemons.ini file? ArgonV at Hotmail dot com
Check your sdemons.ini file located where the 1.6.0.7 Patch is located. Make sure it's not read-only.
Thanks, I did not know that. You can get the ModDB link to show if you sign up for an accouint here. The Game Front link only presents itself if you're not logged in to ModDB.
Ok it should be working now. :)
Thanks for the heads up! We will look into it. :)
Thank you sir! It is actually released now. :) Check the Downloads section at the top.
Thank you sir! That is the plan, and sorry for the delay in getting this out.
Gents,
I know it has been a while since my last update and I apologize. Fear not, for work has not totally stopped! My plans are to release the first pack of aircraft before Christmas Day. This summer and fall have been very busy for my wife and I, and I've had to tone down the amount of time I can dedicate to this project. But those times are now over! I hope to get the files together, tested further and out for public consumption ASAP. :) Stay tuned!
To further comment, there are still many more aircraft that are a WIP. These will probably end up in a second Pioneers of Flight Plane Pack, along with more missions and possibly even an early era airfield in England. All of the tricks from our sleeves haven't been used up yet!
There is an ISO download on AusGamers, but it's very out of date.
This has been done in the past, but there are so many new releases that it has not been done for some time. I'll look into it. :)
Not currently in a whole package. The FS-WWI conversion mod to this game is however, and doesn't need the game CD to be ran.
Just an FYI: The Caproni and R.E.8 are posted in addons to download!
Thanks. :) It can be... Lots of importing and small bugs to contend with during the process. The tools you will need are AC3d, Open Plane Studio v1.30, Big Munger Tools, and the Open Plane Document as well as a TIFF editor of some sort.
You can get all of that and more from here: Fsww1.com
Right now I'm the only one doing any 3d model importing for FS-WWI...
Just an update, a public beta has been released for end-users to test out.
The only thing this kite lacks is a proper hi-res skin and damaged skin. Who would like to do one for her?
Features:
Detailed 3d cockpit
Mannable gunner position
Mannable camera view
Aldis gunsight view when you press G
Lean-over-the-side view for bombing, takeoffs and landings when you press X
Please read the readme file for installation. You MUST have the latest FS-WWI Plane Pack + Patch installed for this to work properly.
I would like to thank LesterBoffo for the use of his model, textures and beta testing the FM and Jerry for also testing. I would also like to thank Recon3 for some of this texture work and 3d model work I borrowed to create the cockpit.
Download it here: Fsww1.com
Thanks. :) Yes indeed I would love to see the late war Gotha as well!
That is on my wish list. The G.IV has been started in the past, twice in fact. But never finished, and I do not have any of the 3d meshes from it... I once asked von Deutschmark if he would let me borrow his Gotha G.IV 3d model from the Canvas Knights mod for IL-2: 1946. He said possibly, but after it was released for Canvas Knights first. So there is some hope for one!
Hello! Switch the semicolon around so it reads:
; inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickSlider1 : 0
inpThrottleAnalog = JoystickAxisZ : 0
No need to change the 0 at the end or the digital throttle settings. Not having a number pad is the problem. Use the - and + keys instead in-game.
Ok, there were some problems with those missions you mentioned. I fixed them, and the fixes are added to the Plane Pack 5 Patch that was just released.
Thanks! I will check out those missions. Since you are on a laptop, you may have to press the Fn key and then the - and + keys in blue for it to work as a throttle.
Ok, is it one particular mission this happens in? Or every mission? I will look into it further. For the throttle, try using the number pad. Do you have a throttle control on your joystick and are using that? If so, the - and + will not work.
