The interesting part is wondering what this is for.
Taking a complete stab in the dark here, perhaps a Sci-Fi Card game? :P
But in all seriousness, sounds like a pretty neat idea, and now days you could probably put together a web-app for it, like tweeria, using html5, JavaScript, CSS3 etc. and make a lot of money from it. :D
