I make prop models for Source mods, I am currently trying to learn how to create characters but for now i make prop models and weapon models. I will be regularly updating my pictures.
It looks a little stretched near the right side.
Its also insanely high poly for what it needs to be. I realize this is just practice, but still..

Only? 500 polys is quite a lot for the average log. At least in my opinion.
alright and how can you tell how high the poly count is?
Could you post the poly count and texture res?
okay, poly count is about 600 and i dont know how to findout the texture res
it is high poly but if i were to make it for a game i would use less (its only that high becaause i was trying to get a good render )
