At the top view most people believe that this Atlantis is a copy of a web model. So i create a different bottom view.
Because this is a very importnat model for us and for MGM i can't create an exactly copy.
So I can confirm and i can to prove i create all points and polygons for this 3D ships.
But the number of polygons for capitals ships is limited and i can't create more polygons to the bottom part. So it is my choice, i think it is more important to recopy the top of city.
To conclude, i confirm you in the alpha test that your thin feeling is not. I was surprised myself.
Yes the city is more thin than the original. But i don't like the original base of city. It's my choice.
To conclued, it's a low polygons model and optimized version for the game, so you will see more differences.
It is 95% finished version in this picture.
I just add bottom part with reactors.
But the important (like all models I create) it's a low polygons versions: ~10 000 against 47 000 with old version or other game.
And just 4 Mo against 11 Mo!
No drones for all ships and more classical weapons. Because the staff decide that we must have balanced mod.

I create ships (transport, frigate, fighter etc)for ancients because we must have a complet fleet. It's important to have a balanced game.
And the aim of news ships is not to look awesome but to create a visual identity and a link with ships you are already know.
All 3D models I create are optimized version for the game.
Like this, you will play faster.
