I'm the guy behind Max Payne's most minimalistic mod: Ammo.
Also check out my other Max Payne mod in progress, the FPS Engine!
Thanks, I'll check it out!
I'm just being really lazy ATM. And the mod needs *lots* of animation and codework before it can be released.
About Half-Life MDLs, (are you asking this because of the current DEagle model? :P) you can have them ingame, but you'd need to convert them to Max Payne format and animate them first (It's a bit painful, I know).
What the customization refers mainly to is files I'll be including in the mod which are quickly editable, along with my source files. If you really want to see a bigger change, however, you'll have to get your hands dirty... I know that description can be a little misleading :P
You should still be able to see Max in the cutscenes, since this is the weapon model, not the player model. I thought about making the cutscenes first person too via camerapaths (to solve problems and to make the mod more awesome too), but alas, Max Payne 1 doesn't handle cutscenes the way I thought it did (save for the first level, which doesn't help that much).
Oh man, that sucks. I suppose downgrading's not an option for you, however (or is it?).
Hey, sorry all for disappearing, but I didn't have time to come around.
Unfortunately, I am unable to make progress at the time because of 3ds Max not wanting to work anymore. Argh.
I'm trying everything in my power to get this thing on the road again but I'm seeing little to no success. I'll try to keep this somewhat more updated.
Don't bother, tommacool is known for this kind of attitude.
I'll have that in mind.
Probably not 100% of the weapons, but the ones that really need them will.
I've been getting some distraction but managed to get one or two things pulled off:
- A few death cameras. I found these to get glitchy when near a wall so I've thought about leaving deaths in third person.
- Bloodpools. They appear on some death animations and can also show up if you shoot an enemy a few times after he died!
- A new reload animation for the Desert Eagle, which is looking pretty cool, and finally,
- A prototype Knife. Click to slash and reload to stab.
Está en progreso, no lo terminé. TBD = To Be Decided, o sea que todavía no decidí cuando lo voy a subir porque no lo terminé.
Every single thing in this screenshot uses the default clip/shell/bullet models, so that's why it looks the way it does. Gotta get more into the texturing field though.
Lol, for some reason, I already knew that it would be that exact video before I even watched it.
Speaking of which, has he even released anything big, like, ever?
I'm downloading this now and will be sure to seed this. It looks like it's gonna take a while though, there aren't many seeders at the time (Estimated time of arrival: Infinity)
Oh, stop it you.
...so she kills ladies?
Just kidding, the screens are looking awesome as always.
Again, sorry for the wait. No need for another news post anyway, I'd say?
I've been trying to get back into MP2 modding but there's been a few tests these days. However, the year has almost ended so I'm this close to holidays.
A lot of people said this before, but yet...
Hope it wins! A lot of effort has gone into this mod (I should know... lol) and it's really looking great, and I'm sure it'll be awesome to play.
Not seven. The number you're looking for is 533.476,5542872^2
Sorry for the delay, but anyway, here it is:
Yeah, I can do that.
I'll be posting it as a reply here.
So, let me get this straight.
You expect to get a solution by treating me like that? Nice.
Not to mention that you voted the mod '1' before even getting it to work.
It wasn't just you.
Forget this comment: PC not working. :P
Thanks! Yeah, the slowmo cutscene sound is because I added slowmotion support for a lot of sounds commonly used during the game, and some of those sounds are also used in cutscenes, and add it to the fact that Max Payne slows the game down during cutscenes, and you've got slow motion cutscene sound, lol.
While that is true, with consoles there comes a time when instead of just needing to upgrade the necessary parts (like when using a PC) you have to outright go and buy the newest who-knows-how-expensive system.
In my opinion, a PC is always the better choice.
No, she will look exactly like before, but will now be able to use male player animations.
No se sabe cuando va a salir, tiene que determinarse: TBD significa 'a ser determinado', por si no lo sabías.
Silver, I think you should post a FAQ article.
Was wondering the same.
Looks like ModDB just has a glitchy way of managing the comments :|
