I'm the guy behind Max Payne's most minimalistic mod: Ammo.

Probably not 100% of the weapons, but the ones that really need them will.
I've been getting some distraction but managed to get one or two things pulled off:
- A few death cameras. I found these to get glitchy when near a wall so I've thought about leaving deaths in third person.
- Bloodpools. They appear on some death animations and can also show up if you shoot an enemy a few times after he died!
- A new reload animation for the Desert Eagle, which is looking pretty cool, and finally,
- A prototype Knife. Click to slash and reload to stab.

Every single thing in this screenshot uses the default clip/shell/bullet models, so that's why it looks the way it does. Gotta get more into the texturing field though.

I've been trying to get back into MP2 modding but there's been a few tests these days. However, the year has almost ended so I'm this close to holidays.
A lot of people said this before, but yet...
Hope it wins! A lot of effort has gone into this mod (I should know... lol) and it's really looking great, and I'm sure it'll be awesome to play.

Thanks! Yeah, the slowmo cutscene sound is because I added slowmotion support for a lot of sounds commonly used during the game, and some of those sounds are also used in cutscenes, and add it to the fact that Max Payne slows the game down during cutscenes, and you've got slow motion cutscene sound, lol.
While that is true, with consoles there comes a time when instead of just needing to upgrade the necessary parts (like when using a PC) you have to outright go and buy the newest who-knows-how-expensive system.
In my opinion, a PC is always the better choice.

Didn't doing this crash MP2 when starting a cutscene?
Well, I got to test it over at a friend's monster PC today, and what do you know, it's not that bad.
I got it from the first link, as the other one said settings couldn't be changed.
Well, bloom works, occlusion works, reflections work. I'm not sure about Motion Blur, Shadows or Water effects, though. I don't know if it makes any difference at all, but I also downloaded the d3d9 dll and put it in the game folder together with d3d8.
Yeah, it has its bugs, like the loading screen or widescreen or HUD reflection bugs, but it still looked good in my oppinion. The bloom is also a little too powerful at times, but that can be changed from the settings file.
Anyway, I'm not telling you to include it with the mod, but just saying that if anyone wants it go and get it, it was a nice addition to me.
