The carnotauruses sets up an ambush by getting into position and lying in wait for hours until it is the perfect time to strike. They are nocturnal predators, and scare every other dinosaur on Isla Sorna. If you follow these guidelines from the novel, I believe Return to Jurassic Park will be far more epic.
