You've got Steam right? If so you may try this thing:
Dont rename your folder, let it be BOTET.
Then go to Steam and right click on Medieval II.
Select "Proprerties".
Select "Set Launch Options".
Then copy-past this in it :
--features.mod=mods/BOTET
Then you're good to play if you lauch the game through the Warhammer.bat file located in the BOTET folder.

I can confirm that THE MEGA LINK IS CORRUPT. After re-downloading (using the moddb link) and re-installing (following the instructions) the game it is finally working :D

I did try it but it didn't work. Like Snarfindorf, I download from Mega so maybe the Mega file is corrupted as he thinks. I'm re-downloading it now from moddb. I will try to re-install it in about 30 minutes. I will keep you inform.

I followed your instructions, but I'm not sure about the 3rd point. Please QueenOfGore could you tell me : I already patched "medieval2.exe" and "kingdoms.exe" but the game still crashes. Am I suppose to have a "warhammer.exe" somewhere that I need to patch ?
