I have exactly the same problem. The game works fine until I try to play a realtime battle. There is often a brief flash of geometry visible (buildings and structures etc) without any textures on them. Then the game crashes out to a black window with the error message "Medieval total war has encountered an unspecified error and will now close".

This is my first install of the mod and a fresh install of medieval2 and kingdoms.

I have an NVidia GeForce GT640 which has no problem with any other games.

I have installed from a disk copy of both medieval2 and also kingdoms.

Have just installed 3.2 and have not installed TATW before. The game seems to run OK except when trying to play a battle. A black windows screen appears and the error message "Medieval total war has encountered an unspecified error and will now close"

Any ideas anyone? Any fixes?
