Hey, thanks for the heads up! I don't ever see these classes in 3rd person and I usually load them with Hexen IWAD. I have the fighter class sprites, I guess I just forgot to switch the sprites he uses. XD Let me know how the multiplayer goes. I haven't done much testing in that regard so I'd appreciate as much info from it as possible.

Look up a tutorial on how to play Doom mods for GZDoom, then just load this mod in like any normal mod.

Yes, that's normal. That just means that the weapon you're using doesn't make a sound that they can hear. I will admit that I've been a little inconsistent with which weapons are silent and which aren't.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not sure what you mean. Like you want to play doom with the vanilla fighter weapons? If so, that's a different mod you're looking for. If you're wanting the guns from doom removed, they should just be replaced by the weapons that the fighter would have. So the axe, hammer, and quietus shards are the only weapons that will spawn. If you mean something else, please let me know.

Personally I think it's a bit underrated as well.

This mod requires the latest version of GZDoom. So GZDoom 4.3.1 or later.

Hello! In order to use this mod you need GZDoom, preferably the latest version, and Hexen. It's technically runnable in Doom, and I haven't tested Heretic, but not specifically supported yet. Also, the actual mod is inside the .zip folder that you download from here as well as the Readme, Changelog, and Testmap. So extract it, then run the .pk3 with GZDoom. To make things easier I would recommend using a mod loader such as ZDL.
Hope this helps! If not, I'm happy to try to help further!

Ooo, that's a neat idea. I'll probably make it exclusive to to the basic bats, though. If I can figure out a way to make it work at all, that is.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I figured out that it would crash with that same message if you try to run it with Doom. This mod is meant for Hexen and will not run with Doom or Doom II, though I intend to add Doom support in the future. Hope this helps!

I can probably make a version for Zandronum, but Zandronum is rather limited in certain aspects, so I can't guarantee I'll be able to keep that version completely up to date. Though I don't expect to make too many more major updates. Also, I'm glad you're having some fun with it!

I'll see what I can do. I don't know any of the limitations of zandronum so I don't know how much I'll have to rework. However, this mod will not function properly in multiplayer. It's geared toward a single player experience and to balance it for multiplayer would require huge overhauls.

Are you loading this with any other mods? I can't take a look under the hood at the moment, but the dynamic lights with non-existent actors SHOULDN'T cause issues. I'll look into it as soon as I can.

This was a terrific map set. Absolutely beautiful, it was pretty intuitive where to go and what to do (other than one issue with a autosave linedef a little too close to a door, making the door unopenable). I loved the flow through the levels, and that last bossfight was incredible. Another issue I had was using it with mods that add their own classes. They work fine mostly, but this map forcibly assigns the vanilla weapons to the 1-4 weapon slots when that's not exactly necessary, I think, and in doing so it makes any modded weapons end up not assigned to the weapon slots. Otherwise this map is terrific.

It doesn't seem like the warrior's axe does much, if any, more damage when using mana than without. Also, since the warrior doesn't get any ranged, (until presumably his ultimate weapon, but I haven't gotten that far yet) he's fighting right up in the enemy's face, so he gets hit a lot. Maybe for one of the weapons' empowerments he could get a minor heal on hit? Just a suggestion. So far I'm liking it quite a bit!

I agree that it is stupid, but from a design standpoint it does have its place. Maybe not with the way you're making it, and that's fine. With the difficulty how it sounds like it's going to end up switching to a flashlight would be tedious and get you killed far too often. However, given slightly less deadly enemies, having to switch from a flashlight to a gun + headlamp when enemies show up could certainly instill a certain sort of fear and panic in the player, in certain situations. Just giving my standpoint on it.

I rather liked how the flashlight and head lamp worked before, where the flashlight had a really broad beam, so you could see more, but the lamp only had a narrow beam focused on the cross hair, so you could see what you were shooting, but not much else.

As of yet I've only been able to get through the first level due to save issues, but I've noticed the shotgun guys are a little op, one shotting me with almost full health and full armor. Granted I am playing on veteran mode...

So, I really like this mod, but I have two issues with it, as of yet. The first one is mostly just annoying, but when I go to save the game it will not let me overwrite previous saves. It just makes the sound, but doesn't update the file. I have to either save it to a new save game, or delete the old one to save it as the same name. The other issue is a bit more debilitating. I like to use quick saves, but occasionally when I do and I load the quicksave it brings up an error "couldn't load console" and will not load the save. Any help?
