I hate ads. I have ways to block them without some dedicated software and all, but I really dont like ads. This is why lots of people like combine overwiki move away from the wikia network. Anyway, moddb's ads arent that bad; just a few on the side but recently I noticed these bottom ads that can suddenly expand to fill up the screen and basically block whatever it is you were doing. If moddb thinks ads are more important than the site itself (where the ads would block you from viewing the site entirely) then I say screw you. The list, and any other stuff I'm doing will probably NOT be updated ANYMORE.
