When I saw this post, I immediately wanted to look for Nightmare House 2 on Steam Greenlight.

Downloading mods from Steam is so convenient and I think it will increase the appeal of mods to players who otherwise wouldn't have paid any attention to them.

I played Nightmare House 2 when it was first released, and it just completely blew my mind. Along with the other great top-quality mods for Half-Life 2, it belongs to be recognized as a game of its own.

I will definitely vote for NH2 on Greenlight if it gets added.

I'm not convinced any Geth in Mass Effect 2 other than Legion weren't heretics - the fact that the Geth never left the Perseus Veil before Eden Prime suggests that only the Heretics have left it (again with the exception of Legion)

However, all of the platforms in Mass Effect 3 must be True Geth, because the Heretics are gone. There were combat platforms during the Morning War, so surely there must be some left. True Geth vs. Heretic Geth is perfectly reasonable and it already happens in the multiplayer. Not to mention that Star Wars Battlefront is far more loose with Star Wars canon than this mod is with Mass Effect...

To answer everyone asking if the mod is 'dead': the mod is released. I may update it some time in the future, but I'm currently involved with very different projects and don't have any concrete plans. PM me if you have any specific suggestions for reviving the mod or have an interest in adding to it yourself, as at least one person has requested.

Whoawhoawhoa.... I'm a new modder and I ran into the same issue. I thought I was just stupid. Can you run any Source DLLs in a mod, or is there something in GameInfo.txt that defines what engine version is required? And does 2007 still work?

It's good to hear that the problems I've been having with Steampipe aren't unique to me.

I've been told that this kind of mod was impossible.

I'm curious. Would it be possible to create a mod that alters the way Paragon and Renegade scores work? Specifically, I'd like to play Mass Effect 2 with a 'reputation' system that combines Paragon and Renegade similar to Mass Effect 3. I'd probably have to re-buy all of the games and DLC, but it would be worth it if such a mod were possible.

Put the mod's folder in Forces of Corruption/Mods and the batch file in the Forces of Corruption folder. Run the batch file. That should be about it.

I've been hoping for a Mass Effect Empire at War mod for a while now. I created two significant Empire at War mods, Metroid Prime Conquest and Galaxy of the Dead. I briefly considered starting a Mass Effect mod myself, hoping to contain it to a small portion of Mass Effect's universe and keeping it small in general, but even then it was just beyond my capabilities. If you need any help with textures, code, icons, maps, etc. please send me a PM. I don't have a lot of time, but I'd love to help.

Not necessarily dead. I just never got around to making any content updates/patches. I didn't get a huge response (although I did get a much larger response than expected...) and felt that any updates would fall on deaf ears. I've been busy and sort of lost interest. I worked on Metroid: Federation at War before it sort of lost momentum. I also thought about trying to make a Mass Effect themed mod, but that's really beyond my capabilities.

Hopeful someday I'll be in the zombie mood and get back to this. Some people have brought really incredible skirmish 'survival' ideas to my attention.

It would be interesting if certain areas where the zombies come from were also blood splattered and 'infected' matching the skins. However that's been done a lot lately and is probably starting to become a cliche.

This looks like a lot of fun. I'm glad you used the fast zombie animations and sound effects and not the regular headcrab zombies'. The way they use civilian running animations is creepy.

According to the novel, they were capable of adapting very quickly and actually learned to operate spacecraft, just not very effectively. I would guess that most of the weapons on a Star Destroyer can be automatic. Nevertheless, you'll notice that infected Star Destroyers fire much more inaccurately but with a higher rate of fire.

Hmm. That's a bit of a stretch. I don't like borrowing models things from other mods just to reskin to represent Metroid units unless it's really necessary. I feel like my Canderous skin is good enough for now. The main cockpit looks similar as do the treads, so the main difference are the arms which are replaced by guns. In the future, most of the models will be replaced. While Ghor is hardly a priority on the list, Mando and the SFMG are doing an excellent job of creating new models to replace the old placeholders.

There's a lot of ground to cover in such a long-running franchise. We haven't given any specific considering to the Luminoth or the Ing in a long time, but Aether is still planned to be one of the planets. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up.

Shoot! I'm wrong. According to Wikitroid, Metroid and Super Metroid described the Federation HQ as being located on Earth. The Assembly Hall on Daiban is separate.
