The kick is from Entropy : Zero 2, not Entropy : Zero. There was never a kick option to begin with.

Actually, in Chapter 1 (Ashes) you can see an image of the Citadel on the monitors in the prison. The top of the Citadel has been destroyed like in Half-Life 2: Episode One, which places the game after the ending of Half-Life 2. Additionally, the prison has already been destroyed. You can see damage in areas you walked through previously in HL2.

It begins just before the Nova Prospekt teleporter explodes, so approximately two weeks before Chapter 1 of EZ2 (Ashes) starts.

But it's a different character in a different setting, so they are only tangentially related

I can't speak for the devs, but as someone who has published a source mod on Steam I can tell you it does not work like that. You can't "just upload to Steam".

Are you sure the mod didn't extract into a sub-folder? Is the base game installed? And have you made sure the mod isn't hidden in your Steam library, after restarting?

It appears that your antivirus has removed the mod's client code from your installation, which will totally stop the game from working. You should re-extract the files and make an exception in your anti-virus to make sure the files are all there.

I really love this design because of the way it fits in with the Half-Life alt-history aesthetic. Is there any chance you would consider making this an MP5k replacement on the Entropy : Zero 2 workshop?

dudurutman You can click on the banner for the ModDB MOTY awards where it says "VOTE FOR THIS MOD TOP 100". Click on the button that says "TOP 100" and it will take you to the Top 11 page where EZ2 is. Just click on the big "vote" button next to EZ2. Also remember to vote for EZU!

I'm having an issue where loading any save will replay the intro sequence. Has anyone else encountered that issue?

It requires Half-Life 2 to be owned in your Steam account, but nothing needs to be installed. The episodes are not required.

I think you should look around a little bit more for a solution. You don't need Wilson to progress or to progress with the APC, you can choose to leave him behind.

LGSC I think you have EZ2 confused for something else. We have never asked for money ever.

HL2:Update is primarily an update to HL2's maps, and it also backports features from Episode 2 to HL2. I have no idea what it would mean for EZ2 to work with that, as neither of those things impact EZ2.... Unless you mean can you install EZ2 with only HL2:Update? No, you do need the original HL2.

I've been sharing gameplay clips on my YouTube channel over the past few weeks. The most recent one from today is of a defense section at a cabin.

Breadman might be dropping some new gameplay on his channel soon, so keep an eye out for that as well.

The mod has been in development since 2018, so we're long past the planning phase. All of the chapters are done already. There's seven full chapters, one of which is split into two parts for a total of eight.

Hi! There's no beta available to the public to test, so I think you might be confused with the demo.

The demo is just a few months short of two years old now, so a lot has changed. I'd recommend checking out Breadman's YouTube channel to see what we've been up to.

I think you'll like what we came up with for NVG and the melee situation.

As for the arms, we have our own arms model and aren't looking to use arms from other games. It has changed from the model present in the demo but looks very similar.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Breadman has commented on translations previously. From what I understand, we are very interested in translations but will not have any at launch. Localization is a huge job and the sheer volume of dialogue lines will make it a daunting task. Post-launch we will rely on help from the community to add language support.

See my comment above - per the instructions, Episode 2 is not required.

No, it only requires the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. Half-Life 2 and the episodes are not required.

The Steam release will require Half-Life 2 to be owned by you but will not require anything to be installed.

I'm a developer volunteering to help with Entropy : Zero 2. You can find EZ's code here: Github.com

I can't offer any help for this mod right now but if you have any questions for me (especially about Git, GitHub and publishing mod source code) feel free to shoot me a DM!

I was curious how you would be able to modify the code if Half-Life: Source isn't open source. I saw in another comment that you plan on rewriting the HLS code. A full re-write sounds incredible.

Is there any chance you might release your code on GitHub, assuming you're using the 2013 SDK? I am very interested in Source engine recreations of HL NPCs.

Hey, you made Abandon: The Town, right? I really enjoyed that mod!

If you do happen to take a look at the source code, let me know if you have any feedback on our code changes for v3. I'd love to hear your take.

1upD @ Nightmare House 2015 is out!

When I saw this post, I immediately wanted to look for Nightmare House 2 on Steam Greenlight.

Downloading mods from Steam is so convenient and I think it will increase the appeal of mods to players who otherwise wouldn't have paid any attention to them.

I played Nightmare House 2 when it was first released, and it just completely blew my mind. Along with the other great top-quality mods for Half-Life 2, it belongs to be recognized as a game of its own.

I will definitely vote for NH2 on Greenlight if it gets added.

To answer everyone asking if the mod is 'dead': the mod is released. I may update it some time in the future, but I'm currently involved with very different projects and don't have any concrete plans. PM me if you have any specific suggestions for reviving the mod or have an interest in adding to it yourself, as at least one person has requested.
