Ultimate Apocalypse is a mod that truly improves the experience of Dawn of War: Soulstorm. The sheer increase in scale alone could be a reason to give it a 10/10 but a combination of factors fully ensure it deserves the top rating. The sheer up scaling of general gameplay changes the game to much more closely resemble the true battlefield nature of warhammer 40k. It is certainly bigger, the scale speaks for itself when it comes to titans, super weapons and ability to control far more units. Alongside much bigger explosions and effects of course.

Appearances too are to a very good standard, in the most cases all the model graphics, including the vast amount of new models are well designed and closely resemble units you would see in the tabletop game. The mechanics of the game too are very good, there's great execution of elements when you're actually playing the game, battles do run smoothly (but a higher-spec system is recommended for larger maps), and the voicing in itself is very good for all the different units the team have put into the game.

Talking of difference, the diversity is so much greater than the base game. As mentioned more units are put into the game, alot for sure, of varying scales from additional infantry units to titans, additional variation can take place too in the different wargear you equip these troops with and in faction specific buildings and abilities. Plus with the compatibility with two new factions and a plethora of game-selection options being opened up to you, the breadth of the game can be customized to personal preference to a great extent.

This mod is awesome for sure, it is an exceptional mod that I fully recommend and definitely a mod to play still in 2015. As I may have mentioned, the sheer scale transforms the base soulstorm game into something else and very much for the better, I could never go back to the regular base game after playing this mod. 10/10
