No event is more historic (for gamers) than anything related to the Half-Life series.
This makes the fact that Valve got the character design totally wrong, but let me explain why.
Because Geralt and Triss were more awesome than any other gaming characters, Valve had to do something, as to not make anyone else completely redundant.
So they renamed, modified and outright nerfed their awesomeness, but here is a picture from pre-alpha for Half-Life two, non-edited, you can see why they needed to change the characters entirely, just look at this awesomeness!
If you had adjusted the heads / shrunk em down and made them fit, this would have looked pretty badass.
I could have but choose not to. I wanted it to look goofy.
