Considering how it's a Science Fiction/Fantasy universe, I'd say it makes some sense...

Well technically it could make sense but we would need to watch humankind for thousands of years several times to see if we actually do change the same way or develop differently.
warhammer does make sence. its basicly a recreation of the Holy crusaders and some spanish inquisition thrown at it.
