Because they are sucessors of the Astral Claws, or rumored to be.
The Astral Claws turned into the Red Corsairs if I'm not mistaken? After Badab?
Yeah, this was before the Badab War books came out when they had the old stripe pattern which they gave to the Tiger Claws.
They are actually a splinter group, so technically not successors.
