NO..... ok at their specialty of the loyalists fine... but of the 9 originals.... i would say that the ultramarines(dont like admitting it) are the best. then iron hands and then raven lol.

The Raven Guard could take the Ultras down easily. They use totally different tacticts to the Ultras and would be able to predict their reactions to any given situation, if it ever came to a fight.

black templars would win hands down
an estimated 6000 marines if all assembled and the largest fleet of any chapter due to their space fairing nature.

you forget both chapters follow codex in all tactical situations... the battle would be a constant counter to counter and so on so it would come down to tricks and the numbers and also if memory serves the raven guard lost almost all their numbers in that heresy lol if it werent for the "stalwart Ultramarines" the galaxy would have burned... meh the space wolves would have saved the day lulz

No the Raven Guard don't:

"The Raven Guard are known for hitting weak points in enemy defences hard and they perform lightning strike upon locations of tactical importance to cripple their enemy. The Raven Guard disdain the notion of recklessly charging into enemy ranks. This differentiates their tactics from those of the Blood Angels. The Raven Guard rely heavily on their Scouts for pinpointing enemy positions and to scout for good drop sites. Because of their hit and run tactics they also make extensive use of Assault Squads. The Tactical Squads of the Raven Guard are often deployed via Thunderhawks or Drop Pods. The favorite weapons of the Raven Guard Commanders are the Lightning Claws and it is a common sight that their command squads also come equiped with these weapons in addition to their Jump Packs."

They see the codex as a guide, not strict rules to be adheared to all the time.

Yeah, they did loose most of their chapter at the Drop Site Massacre at Isstvan V. But they continued to strike at supply lines and the like, which weakened the traitors.

Plus the Ultra's didn't save the day, the Heresy was ended when the Emperor killed Horus. All the Ultra's did was clean up and hold.

ok ill give you some of those lol and very nice presentation. but still its the ultramarines they shouldnt have any holes in their battle line and it just as well that they would know each others way of fighting. and if the commander is someone like uriel then the Ravens will be at a disadvantage at first because of Uriels ability to think outside the box.
