What Milenia is this from?
Around 28,000 or so. This would have been the armor worn by the very first gene enhanced soldiers (Not space marines yet, not as powerful). These would have been the soldiers the emperor used in the wars of unification, where he united earth under his banner and thus founded the imperium.

not unification, during unification the soldiers wore golden armour, from what ive read they sound alot like custodes
