Hmmm.... would be nice to see.... Empire: Total War was awesome... tho I couldnt start Shogun 2 out of technical reasons, same with other people :/ So I hope that this Warhammer game goes to the direction of E:TW :P

Tho this will most likely be a Wh fantasy game, not 40k. Anyway it will be awesome, knowing CA`s experience with those sword and arrow based RTS games (Rome, Shogun, Medieval)

Although i love TW series(except Empire)I wouldn't get too hopeful. Something tells me they will screw it up, and in the end we will see something buggy, non- moddable, inaccurate and just plain bad...
Probably just my paranoia speaking, but i'd rather be pleasantly surprised, instead of my hopes dashed to pieces.

What do you have against empire? It was the best in the series. Also, I doubt that it will be buggy.... I at least hope so

Best in the series? Are you serious? Rome: Total War was, is and will be the best in TW series. Medieval 2: Total War is great also. But surely not Empire. Actually Empire: Total War is worst in the series, imho

Indeed Rome and Medieval 2 were the best + it could be modded.

And when i say modded i don't think about changing few unit stats like in Empire, Napoleon and Shogun 2, i mean total conversions/overhauls.

I really miss that in newer Total War games, after all it's modding that's keeping the games alive.

I would say Shogun was the worst. At least I could have fun playing Empire.

Personally Shogun II was my favorite, Empire seemed the most boring to me. But hey, different time periods equals different flavors for each person, so I respect your opinion.

I hope they pour the same amount of effort they put in Shogun II into the Warhammer game. Whatever your qualms against game-play were you have to admit the animation was top notch.
