I beg your pardon... what? No, I... what? Is there some kind of rivalry between the Dark Angles and Space Wolves that I am unaware of?
Yes. Long story short, Jonson killed a guy Russ wanted the honor of killing, so they started brawling and Jonson won but the feud between the chapters hasn't stopped since.
Actually, Jonson didn`t really win. Russ, after the a few days of fighting (yes, the two boxed non-stop for 2-3 days), realised how silly it was an began to laugh, Jonson didn`t have that sense of humor and broke Russ` nose....
how can you call yourself a Warhammer 40k fan and not know the lore? i smell Heresy
Warhammer lore is huge. There's always something that everyone doesn't seem to know about, and that's a really good thing.
And even when it comes to the "big ticket" items (Ultramarines are blue, Orks are green and like hitting things over shooting things, Necrons and Eldar are really really old), there's a lot of room for creative licence and interpretation. You can have lighter or darker Ultramarines, shooty Orks, new Necron dynasties or Eldar leaders... indeed, it's a great part of the hobby
Well being like that I think can allow for people to create things in the Warhammer universe more easily. If for example you want to write a Warhammer novel.
