I mean come on guys, I am as loyal to the Imperium of Men as the next guy (or possibly more loyal) but the Horus Heresy is definitely the Emperor's fault.
True! This is what happens when you give someone powers beyond human comprehension and let him play with it... Loyal to the end I still remain, but hell even the Emperor makes mistakes.

When you consider the fact that fully half of his most trusted lieutenants, HIS SURROGATE CHILDREN (and also his geneseed children) went rogue and betrayed everything they once stood for, the Emperor was a really lousy judge of character. Including his most trusted son, who he refused to believe would EVER even THINK of betraying him.
I blame poor parenting.
