This is the most true thing about the game.

Problem, Space Marine?

DoW 2 sucked, bring me some more DoW 1! Preferably with FoK!

It pains me to say but its 100% true. I don't even like DoW 2, because of these stuff and you can't build your base anymore. All units come from 1 building which is dumb. Wish they would make DoW 1 style of play with DoW 2 Graphic :/

Have you heard Relic is making a DoW3? they should release either winter next year or around 2013. I hope Tau is in it.

So you think your opinion that "DoWI is better than DoWII" is fact?

Yeah, the comic is right but its only talking about skirmishes against AI which isn't where the DoWII games shines.

I never said DoW1 was better than DoW2 I merely pointed out the fact of the "Wall of Text's" message, that DoW2's skirmish battles is mostly about the resources. I like DoW2 dispite the Resource merry-go-around kinda gameplay, maybe others are being haters, but I am not.
Well, I'm not trying.

Well, I apologize for the comment then because I assumed you were on the side of the other people who were saying that "DoWII sucks and DoWI is better" which was who I was addressing with the "hating" comment.

Playing skirmish vs an AI was like this but the campaign was nicely thought out and the Last stand mode was also fun.

The game was pretty much a Company of Heroes reskin, except Company of Heroes succeded with a vast range of different units countering different units (and you can build buildings and defences). DoW II limits you to at max 10 different units with a very limited population cap, with not many units that can counter eachother, not to mention the insane prices for most of the units. It falls down to a waiting game of who can keep the most resouce points for the longest to rush out a Predator and gank the player's base.

What? The "different units countering different units" system is the same in DoWII as it is in CoH. The anti-infantry machineguns, check. The AT teams (Stormtroopers, tankbustas, bright lance, devastator w/ plasma cannon, chaos havocs, ), check. Hell, Dawn of War II have more unit kinds than Company of Heroes do. With their melee units, assault units and etc and in my opinion the system works even better than it did in CoH. And why does everyone keep bringing up the base building? DoWII is supposed to be different than other RTSs with a smaller yet much more brutal/exciting multiplayer matches. The high unit costs are supposed encourage you to wanting you to keep your units alive for as long as possible. I have won a couple of team matches online as MVP while playing as the Imperial Guards with all of my units still alive and well. If you think all RTS must have base building to be good then thats a very narrow view of the genre.

I'm not saying I miss base building in DoW2, but you saying DoW2 was better balenced than CoH, I have to give you a -1 karma point here.

I never even mentioned that DoWII is better balance since I have only played a couple of multiplayer matches in CoH (lost horribly too) I just felt like its easier to adopt to different kind of tactics with each unit types from the races in DoWII.

Both games are similar in that way you manage your units on the field but it mostly ends there as the two worlds are so vastly diffrent from eachother.

There's actually a way to **** the AI from humping your points
You just have to be Tech Marine or Mekboy and then place Sentries behind the points so the arch of fire is covering the hole point that way they run away as soon as the ******* try to decapture hahaha!

^THAT.

Also, cover the map and slowly grind forward with a wall of men until you get in range of the enemy base.
Simple as: make units, plenty of. Deploy in a line and kill the enemy commander repeatedly.

Stay out of range of turrets, then win.

SERIOUSLY.
