I really hope they change the graphics to look at least a bit less "cartoonish" or clean, just so you get some form of Grimdark atmosphere.
They actually toned down the graphics so one can have bigger battles. DoW III is going to be much bigger in scale compared to the other two games.
They also made the graphics that way in order for the units to be more visible on the battlefield.
I know and i respect their decision, but i think they should at least add a option to make the graphics a bit more grimdark. If not then i hope the mods will do it.

I was hyped as **** when I heard about DoW III being announced, but the screenshots diminished that considerably. The design looks more like LoL or something like that. I especially don't like how incredibly bright the Space Marine armor is.
I really hope that's just because it's still in early development.
Also in this day and age it shouldn't be a problem to run larger scale battles with graphics as least as good as DoW II, which was released in 2009.
It's still down to current technology really. i hope to high heaven that Relic are using DX12 for this, as that'll provide so many benefits to the RTS!
I don't mind how it looks as long as the game play is good and the game runs
