it seems fitting enough that 40k receive an indie away from the ultramarines and blood ravens monopoly on 40k games any way...my idea for the indie is a co-op TPS featuring a death watch kill team on a planet to aid against a tyranids invasion. 1-the game starts off simply, you create your marine (armor is not an option of course) head,hair,codename and chapter specific shoulder pads and knee pads. 2-then you get to choose your marine's speciality: assault,ranged or close combat. 3-GUNZ!!: -assault marines: get jump jets,either two handed CC weapon or a bolt pistol and a one handed CC weapon 5- EXP AND LEVELING!!! no need to explain that NOW!!! game engine i suggest unity to be used it's light,it's fast and it's easy to use(or that i was told).i don't know if it supports offline gaming since all the unity based games I've seen are online ones :\ so leave your ideas and suggestions. =d death watch marines:

i think it would work but instead of using tyranids why not be an necron invasion and use multiple races oh say necrons as main enemy tyranids as a second then add IG to help as the pdf then maby include other elements. -- "We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell |

nice ideas but the more races the more models, anims (which are easy cause of dow2),scripts. oh and we have a dev team (astartes productions) all we would need are modelers, mappers, concept artists and of course CODERS. |

nice ideas but the more races the more models, anims (which are easy cause of dow2),scripts. oh and we have a dev team (astartes productions) all we would need are modelers, mappers, concept artists and of course CODERS. yes,but your progress is..slow :\ no offence bro. for Xxchaos : i should have made myself clearer you don't control the entire kill team you control your own created marine whether he is assault,ranged or CC and for support class maybe an Apothecary? and my choice for the tyranids was because my vision of the game is waves of smaller guys against the players. for the maps i was thinking of every map being an important imperial bunker/shock point/strategic location that comes under attack by the tyranids and your kill team is supposed to protect it after each wave you get the chance to heal up, rearm and...put up defence..your captain can call in bolter turrets at becons that the players place. the team loses if the spawn point is overwhelmed by the tyranids.
i love the tau but the majority of the fan base love spess mahrenes so....spess mahrenes it is :\ --

yea play as space marines but fight the tau coz then there would be more variety and they would be able to think for themselves unlike the tyranids who are controlled by the hive mind! |

well as alpha said first we must get a small TPS up and running against waves after waves of tyranids and after wards maybe more races will be included and don't forget that deathwatch fav enemy are the tyranids(i know they are under the ordo xenos control and tau are xenos but the tyranids are more grimdark than tau) --

alright, i will be able to do some help here... as to the copyrights we have... i'm not gonna get into that part... first off, I have no graphics tablet, meaning no photoshop concept art.... i can do the best to draw out from my sketchpad and scan the images here, Alpha, Zam, i'll send you PMs on your ideas. |
