Role: Medium Battle Walker
Armament: 120mm Cannon
Type: Basic Walker
Before the Second Tiberium War, GDI had replaced most of its threaded vehicles with battle walkers. Although had some more vulnerable parts, they could carry double the armament and armor of normal vehicles and could traverse urban and suburban terrain much faster. The Titan was one of the first and most used walkers of the time, and that was not surprising. The Titan had the power to decimate enemy armor while taking heavy punishment as well as crushing lesser vehicles under its feet. However, with the end of the Second Tiberium War, the Titan was withdrawn and replaced with a new generation of GDI tanks as well as the rest of the walkers, for the sake of Tiberium containment and GDI's peaceful and environmental policy of the time.
With Nod's surprise attack, most of the Blue Zones fell almost instantly, but those closely affiliated to McNeil and the Steel Talons division of the Global Defense Initiative. McNeil, using the industrial and scientific help of the Steel Talons, had not only preserved, but also upgraded the technology of the battle walkers, and they proved to be better than their predecessors at taking down Nod troops. It did not take long until the Titan was back in the field as GDI's regular basic armored unit, and proved to be an excellent battle charger, armor destroyer and a terror for the Nod troops to behold.

Heavy Fire and Power
The Titan is the most powerful early game MBT, making it easy for a GDI commander to mass produce them and take on the enemy bases face to face. But even later it does not lose its value, as its armor and the option to upgrade its cannons to railguns makes them a unit to count on. However, being a walker, enemy commandos can plant C4 on their legs to instantly destroy them.
