I'll be honest, I wish they included a more pristine version of the armor. I really feel they did a lazy job with it here.
There are mods for better versions of it, it's just this feels like kind of a let down, because if you played Fallout 2, than you'd know the Remnants armor is not only bulkier, but also has much better stats than it has in New Vegas.
It's should have much higher radiation resistance instead of just 15. And according to Fallout 2 add 4 points to your Strength. Up to a maximum of 10. They really didn't do it justice here in the vanilla game.
Same with the other armors, they were all much tougher according to lore than they are in the games. The T-51B variant of armor is the only one that could really stand up to Enclave Armor, but even then the Enclave Armor still has an edge.
Also, notice how the cables are sticking through the armor in the back? Lazy work on the developers part not finding a way to fix that. Same with the shoulders.
