Description

Kozara is a mountain in north-western Bosnia where in 1942. a battle, during a German offensive, between the Partizan resistance movement and the German occupiers aided by local fascist collaborationist forces (including a "relatively" small number of Chetniks) occurred. The battle ended with a forced retreat of of the partizans at the hands of better equipped and numbered Germans and their collaborator dogs. A very large number of partizans were martyred and many thousands civilians, mostly Serbs were killed off after the battle by the collaboratiosts, notably by the Ustaše. Still this song is about sacrifices and resisting without fear against a foe that is known to be stronger.
Translation of the song:

How many, oh how many are there leafs on Kozara, 2x
Even more, oh even more are there young communists!
EVEN MORE, OH EVEN MORE ARE THERE YOUNG COMMUNISTS!

Oh how may, oh how many are there branches on Kozara, 2x
Even more, oh even more are there young partizans!
EVEN MORE, OH EVEN MORE ARE THERE YOUNG PARTIZANS!

Comrade Tito, oh Comrade Tito has given out an order: 2x
All to battle, oh all to battle for liberation!
ALL TO BATTLE, OH ALL TO BATTLE FOR LIBERATION!
