I hate her character, she's such a drama queen and she doesn't care about her little sister (apart from the sisterhooves episode). I do like the episodes based on her but I still hate her.
We can find similarly annoying things in the other mane 6...
-Twilight is a grammar-nazi nerd
-Applejack regards simple things as nitpicking
-Rainbow Dash is an arrogant ****
-Fluttershy is annoying as hell with that silence and quiet voice
-Pinkie Pie is annoying as hell with that lack of silence and loud voice
See? They're all annoying in a way. Stop picking on Rarity.
Well, I've actually met girls like Rarity. It's easier to get a better understanding of her character that way.. There's a gimmick to girls like her, it's just very hard to spot it. :P
The gimmick to girls like her, for example, is that she will be the only one out of a large group of "pretty" girls that will still respect you after you embarrass yourself, and will stop laughing long enough to comfort you.
She'll even tell her boyfriend and other friends to stop laughing at you to the point yelling; which in my opinion, is an admirable feature. Just generally a nicer person than she lets on.
In my opinion, all the characters are more interesting when their flaws are showing.
Rarity enjoys helping others, but she also seems to be a bit of a perfectionist who can lose sight of what is important if everything isn't just so.
She cares about her sister, but she tends to over-react to any problems Sweetie Bell causes- and can forget about others if she gets caught up in a task.
To me, each character's flaws are what really complete them as deep and engaging characters.
I said that I don't always like Twilight because she is frequently used in a "voice of reason" role, where she is the only one looking at something correctly when it seems that others would also catch on.
In my opinion, that role cheapens the character-focus of the show to some extent- though it definitely spells out moral lessons for little kids.
The best pony is, of course, Applejack- even if she has only had one and a half episodes focusing on her.
(The sudden appearance of Derpy took a lot of focus off of her in the second- and I'm still waiting for an Applejack song)
Every character in FiM was intentionally given flaws. I honestly find all the characters hilarious given their personalities conflict with each other on a regular basis in the show.
It's normal to dislike a character for their personality. Like, for instance, I think Rainbow Dash is cool as ****, but I dislike her cocky personality. My reason? I hate cocky attitudes; I was raised around too many people growing up who had them.
However, at the same time, I also found her personality to be hilarious because in the end it's making fun of the cocky attitudes people put up for attention.
TBH, you gotta look at it from a different perspective and you'll find that what you may hate about one character, you may end up loving about her in the end.
Get her out of my sight, right now. >:(
What's wrong with Rarity?
It seems that not many people likes Rarity, but I still don't see why.
I'm fine with Rarity. If theres any character I have something against, it would be Twilight.
To clarify, this is only when she's portrayed as too perfect while everypony else does something wrong.
Then again, I don't think that has really been done since season one- but my memory might be rusty.
Rarity is the worst pony out of the mane 6.
That's why.
Screw you! None of the mane 6 are bad.
I disagree.
Your arguments?

Yeah but those are minor things which I can just ignore but rarity's problems are major which I can't ignore and that ****** me off.

It makes her my second favorite pony ^^

I've never seen MLP artwork this detailed, and realistic, while still retaining the original color palette! It's just breathtaking! ^^
Excuse me if I'm contravening the purpose, but this picture is ENORMOUS! O:
