is there any use for having 2 sets of tracks on each side? maybe faster than a longer track? idk have thought about that for some time.

Maybe if one of the tracks gets blown off, the tank can still run on 3 tracks?

Description

''It is day of judgement!!''

At the close of the Second World War, Stalin demanded that a better superheavy tank be produced in order to crush the Nazi Germany menace. Though he didn't live to see it completed, the JS-3 tank would have lived up to his expectations. Its twin 155mm cannons (each longer than a King Tiger and Jagdtiger) could punch straight through an enemy tank without their projectiles deflecting, and its missiles were equipped with magnetically sensitive tips to track enemy aircraft.
Its high-density ballistic plating, internal compartmentalisation and 15 man crew made this 310 ton tank the largest and most effective superheavy tank to date. More so than any of the other tanks in the JS series, it was intended to engage and destroy enemy armour; it could redirect its primary engine power from turning to its turrets, and its advanced sighting gave it extremely long range compared to other superheavy tanks.
The most unique feature of the Apocalypse, however, is its cannons, for they have built-in electromagnets which can be used to boost the Apocalypse's shells, allowing them to fly farther and faster than they would if only chemical propellant was used. Using this system, the Apocalypse's range can even be extended to the point where it can equal the range of a howitzer, allowing it to be used as artillery if no better vehicles are available. These tanks were equipped with ingenious hybrid nuclear-diesel engines (these engines reduced the sound of the Apocalypse dramatically allowing them to have a little amount of stealth despite their enormous size), advanced all-terrain treads for greater movement (they would have been slower if not for them),
Its cannons were placed closer together to make it easier to strike the same target, and its armour was particularly focused on the front. Three hundred and fifty of these tanks were manufactured before Arkhangelsk began the production of the JS-4, and fifty more have been produced by other plants since.
