Had to repost since my comment was deleted by the previous person.
But anyways, as I as saying. "So much for killing it." ^_^
The game is still coming, even if it's not a Star Wars IP. It will take on the spirit of the original battlefront, and be fully moddable. I thought the Mouse was gonna shut down the studio and seize assets? Oh well. I recall there was quite alot of chat on this group that it would be the end of frontwire studios and no one should dare mess with EA or Disney.
Still worked out didn't it? As for mods, they can always add that star wars feel we like. Whatever IP they choose, they may even make up their own.
Has my blessing as long as it's original with that battlefront charm.
I'll be picking up this game when it releases, the modding sold me.
so we get a new sci-fi universe from this, and possibly someone will create a star wars mod for this game i say possibly as because EA is gonna be like whoa **** no, no star wars mod but you know the modding community is gonna do it anyways. so its a win-win i hope that they take some inspiration from star wars and other sci-fi universes to create something exciting and fun to play
2 years later, the game is not even out. How boring.
It's not like they even could have an issue with that. So that's not a "good guy" or "thank you for being so nice!" thingy from them.

I'm talking about the message in the image. It looks like it says as if they had done something good by saying that. As if they could have an issue with that.
Worry not, "someoene" will probably mod the Star Wars stuff later. I am counting on it.
A Halo mod (Halogen) for a C&C game got C&D by Microsoft. Then Halo Wars came along.
regardless of what has happened, this game is going to destroy EA's battlefront tenfold. it's what people originally wanted hence why it became so popular in only a few days, so if people want to relive there original star wars experience there going to have to make a mod....a little extra work but it will be worth it in the end. either way EA screwed up if i were them i would have put this game behind my pay wall and milked it. that would have been a smart move just from a business point of view.
What was that? The game is going to destroy EA's Battlefront? Looks like that didn't happen.
