"Space, the final frontier..." These are the opening words of one of the most famous sci-fis ever created. The opening words of one of the biggest franchises ever existed. The opening words of Roddenberry's vision, called Star Trek. The purpose of this group is to bring together everybody, who likes Star Trek, and to review the best games and mods based on this fantastic universe. I hope this group will bring the local Star Trek community together, and be a place, where everybody can talk about this great science fiction, and enjoy the company of each other.
Axanar, the only decent Stat Trek film in decades is being sued by CBS.
Why? Well here's theory: trekkers are panning the trailer of their third JJtrek, they are desperate and trying to eliminate competition.
Dear JJ Abrams, f*ck you. You may have revive Star War, but you rotten Star Trek to its very core.

Reminder that JJ Abrams has NOTHING to do with Star Trek Beyond, since he left to work on Star Wars Episode VII. You're better off blaming Simon Pegg since he wrote the story and he knows the trailer sucks (and if you are going to blame him, go watch the Cornetto Trilogy before you do)
The true people to blame for Beyond are the people who told Pegg his original draft for Beyond was "too much like Star Trek" and make it "more like Guardians of the Galaxy."
I like the Abrams Trek (09 only), but even I know it's not Trek. It's more like a Star Wars movie with a Star Trek skin.
The reason I blame Abrams is because he's the one who dumbed down Star Trek in the first place. If it wasn't for his direction ST would never became another cash in summer film. He directing choices started this, and now those who are trying to recreate the old Trek are suffering from it.
Agreed. Jar Jar Abrams and the subsequent filmmakers in charge of the franchise was the worst thing that could have happened to Star Trek. Now it is just a generic fantasy/action movie in space rehashing old Star Trek Stories and themes in a halfassed manner. Now it seems like the PTB at CBS/Paramount feel threatened and butthurt that fans are responding better to fan creations than their "JJ Trek".
