Well psychologically both have been recognized as real for a long time, just like Homosexuality.
its just misinformation that has been spread by those who don't understand this.
and bisexual hatred is expressed on both sides of the spectrum, mostly because people have been taught that you are either or and their is no in between. With the right education people will come to understand sexuality is a spectrum, with gay and straight and everything in between, including on attraction to either.

Yes it has but not in the media (at least here over the UK) which I find perplexing.

I guess it's not really a debate issue but it's a thing that has been bothering me for a while ever since I noticed it.

well the media shows what sells, and purposely reiterating stereotypes and misinformation makes them money. plus the bad effects of the misinformation makes them money.
maybe the next debate should be, media- show we have clowns case em off a cliff or launch with a giant catapult?

Description

You've heard of homophobia which is either hatred towards gays or fear (which can be possible in some people). What's less known is biphobia which, surprisingly enough, mainly manifests itself in the gay community. Common accusations raised against bisexual people is that they're either confused, haven't made their mind up, still in the closet and/or promiscuous. This is nonsense. Like with any other sexuality (or even a lack of sexuality), it's not a choice. What's worst is that biphobia exists in the media where these arguments are often raised as if they were valid. Bisexuality is rarely identified and a man who sleeps with a woman and then a man in a show (despite not hiding his relationships) will inevitably be called out later in the program by someone stating that he hasn't made his mind up.

I find this hilarious. That homosexuals, with the oppression and discrimination they face, would turn around and do the same to bisexual people but they do.

Bisexuality is a real thing and should be recognized.

Myself? Once I thought I was asexual and proposed this to several people who called me gay because I told them that I wasn't sexually attracted to any gender. Obviously I corrected them that to be gay, one has to be attracted to the same gender (of which I'm not) but it perplexed me just as biphobia does.

It's a strange world we live in but it's time bisexuality and asexuality were recognized.
