wasn't Polonium discovered by a polish chemist? i mean it's clearly named after Poland.
Indeed that the Polonium was discovered by Pierre and the famous Marie Curie, both Polish, but I think that it´s commenting about the country which the element was discovered.
The couple spent most of their life on France, and it was there that they studied and made most (if not all) of their researches.
Poland cannot into periodic table.
