This is a custom Alpha build of Red Phoenix prepared for a local exhibition in 2009.
It is in no way representative of the current state of the mod.
It isn't bug free, complete or balanced.
It is released as a token of appreciation for everyone who sticked with the project throughout its years. I've had two years of inactivity, during which you guys/gals got nothing in return.
Have fun and see you on the frontlines Commanders !

I. Installation
Use the self-extracting archive to install the game in your desired path. To uninstall, just SHIFT+DEL the folder. No registries are installed.
II. Running the Game; Known issues
The game should start only through Game.exe, not Renegade.exe. You will get a "Insert CD" message after opening the game. You must insert your original Renegade CD.
There's only one way to play the game : you must start a LAN game. Settings are the same as in Renegade. To play by yourself, you'll have to set the number of players to 1 and make sure "Dedicated Server" isn't checked.
Load "DesAs.pkg" from the dropdown menu at the Map selection screen and select the mission inside it.
Known Issues :
There is no elevator in the Soviet Barracks. Yeah, I know, thats retarded but due to a limitation in how elevators work in Renegade, a custom elevator had to be made. It couldn't be finished in time so it didn't made it into the game.
The Vulture's exit transitions don't work. You'll have to suicide your way out. Yep. Same goes for its turret.
Lighting on the roads is kind of screwed. Watch yourselfs through the craters.
The highway at the edge of the map ends straight up into BlueHell. And no, AC/DC has nothing to do with it :)
The IFV is overpowered, smoke particles still hang out, and that weird orange light actually comes from a barrel (which should have a fire inside it).
Also, those burned-out car chasis can be pushed around.

1. I'm not responsible for any issues/problems that come as a direct result of using this game. If ceiling cat gets a stroke while looking at the game, I'm not responsible.
If you find the ending dissappointing and/or it features color-coded choices, please ALT+TAB.
2. You're free to do whatever you want as long as you credit me as the author of the in-game content (except the characters, Rhino, Vulture and M16 models). Westwood/EA/Bioware Victory (?) however holds every right on the rest of it.
3. Feedback is welcomed. Color-coded cupcakes are NOT :)
Thanks for your feedback !
The telegraph poles were supposed to have a "falling down" anim, allowing you to run over stuff with your tank. You should've been able to pass through them. I'll fix them.
That Vulture spawner shuffles through various vehicles. The Nod buggy however, shouldn't be there. It should have been : Vulture, Rhino, Tesla Tank.
Oh, just a heads-up : there's a nuke beacon sitting around outside the soviet base. It should leave radiation damage after it blows up but that's probably broken too :|
Still, I'd like to know if the anim has any performance issues.
Sorry, the lighting must be making it hard. Its on the Soviet side of the map, as you walk straight ahead from the Soviet spawner. It should be on your right, about where the car wrecks are. Its the Nod beacon model.
