He never said it that way, it is completely out of context and this sounds like a vulgar distortion of Socratic Thinking.

"I just know that I do not know" it's a statement against Sophists and their way of teaching. It has nothing to do with "true knowledge" in itself, nor the "meaning of true knowledge", not even that Humans are doomed to know nothing.

It is a call for a new relation with the world that negates the established methods/practices of learning and teaching from those who claim to have true knowledge (and this is valid for any period). For that he was sent to death.

Thanks to this claim, Science and Philosophy had a chance to exist independently from tradition and religious dogma.

What it follows from the picture is that only the gods have access to knowledge. That's a very vulgar mistake and Socrates wasn't claiming that at all. There are truths you can know about the world, because they are inscribed in Nature. Humankind is a part of Nature, so he can learn things from it. - Later on this was important for Descartes to speak about "apodictic truth" (following Aristotle, that was in line with Socrates).

So, again, Socrates was on the side of Scientific thinking. There is no way you can use him for Religion, altought some concepts in Plato (the no 1 student of Socrates) are used in Christianity (like the migration of the souls theory adapted from the Ancient Egyptians).

Wrong

Einstein himself said it too " In the end i know that i know nothing "
Nothing is more vulgar , arrogant even naive than human centrist thinking that promotes atheist values when we all know well deep inside that there is nothing that comes from us but from our creators

" The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge , but fools despise wisdom and instruction "

Regardless nice to see you back Andre , too bad you deleted our conversation on your profile again
I guess some of us cannot bear a truth beyond their own level of understanding
I can use what i see fit , i deal with not just religion on this group but even science too , not your kind of science mayhaps but still science

I rest my case

Jon? You mean Joe from the protectors? I am his friend and I work with him in The Protectors Mod team (when I am not writing a book or composing).

Sometimes i check your works yes. I am more into the audio and musical realm, so I cannot give any technical thumbs up. For me the buildings are pretty.

His name is Jon or so he told me and i first thought his name is Joao because Jon and Joe are both not portuguese

Thank you

Is going to be a long time still until i will take it to the audio and musical realm
I have added a potential intro song for each culture but this started quite recent , just for few by now

From your parts of the wide world i have the Portuguese , Lusitanians and then more Spanish related nations : Aragonese , Basque , Catalan , Castilian and Spain itself
I wish i had an even number of Iberic civilizations ( equal no of Portuguese related ones with Spanish related ones ) but not sure why the Spanish were more than you
However i have a fictional Atlantis planned aside that me and Joao both agree they were your first ancestors , so the number should be evened out somewhat (:

I dare ask a question i don't know about because is not my domain
We all know well in history there were many nations that were christian like for instance the Byzantines and the Slavs portray this well
Was there a civilization that was Satanist instead ? that i could use this religion for them ?
As well which civilizations in history were Atheist ?

I ask because religion is a characteristic now that i describe from start with each and every one , this is why am needing this

Currently i started work on the Goths that Joao himself has chosen just yesterday ( i let friends pick the next civ. for me to work on ) and i admit they have a more dark appeal about them , well known and they have gargoyles but what i discovered for them was Arianism or Paganism and i chosen Arianism

The only thing i found unfitting and quite funny was the man in the main presentation image being oversized compared to the woman also present there

I assume it was meant to mean a masculine type of protection
but it becomes more dominant than protective
And afterall , in fantasy times women could fight too
Is something that was memorable for me

The main TPC TEAM presentaion pic you mean!

It looks like the woman is in love with danger - he's a dark market merchant and a thief. (there is a quest using this pic that allows you to buy an item from this guy).

The Philistees and the Phoenicians both had gods that the Bible identifies as Satan (Moloch for the Phils, Baal for the Phoes) because these gods demanded child sacrifices in their worship. Maybe this will help?
