For all the old skool modders that have stuck by Mod DB from v1 to v4. A lot has changed as over the years as the site moved from a dark v1 to a bright and rounded v2, to the classic v3 and now the all mighty v4! To join this group you must have joined the Mod DB in 2002 or be a KNOWN long time hardcore user!

Description

GaminZone was the the second webpage I ever created. It was the successor to GamerZoned which I unfortunately have no record of, after it was banned for me spamming ads in various gaming newsgroups. As you can see, it is a gaming related site which was located at gaminzone.cjb.net The justification for these websites weird names is that the domains gamezone and every other bloody one was already taken, well back in 1998 so I came up with this rather unorthodox naming system... The sites main inspiration was avault.com and its primary focus was on gaming modifications (some things just never change). It raked in a measly 40 hits a day which at the time I was incredibly proud of. This all changed however when I was told to scope out Counter-Strike beta 3.0 by a good mate of mine Ross aka Finite (who just happened to design modDB.com v1 logo) - Read about my next site to follow this little tale on...
